REGULATION OF THE ACADEMIC ADVISOR

REGULATION OF THE ACADEMIC ADVISOR

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Article 1. Purpose and Scope

Academic Study Advisors are faculty members of the Department who advise and support students. Through regular meetings, particularly with first-year students, they aim to facilitate integration into higher education. They inform and guide all students on academic matters and subsequent career paths, and provide additional support to students facing serious family, personal, or other difficulties that may impede the successful completion of their studies.

The work of Academic Study Advisors is supported by the collaboration of all teaching staff (Professors, Special Teaching Personnel, Laboratory Teaching Personnel, Special Technical Laboratory Personnel), other educational staff, administrative personnel, Laboratory Directors, the President of the Department, and the competent services of the University. These stakeholders take into consideration the information, observations, suggestions, and requests from Academic Advisors regarding any deficiencies or malfunctions that create problems for students, as well as any proposals for addressing them.

Article 2. Allocation of Students to Academic Advisors

Undergraduate Study Programs

At the beginning of each academic year, the Department Assembly appoints the Academic Advisors for the Department. The names and contact details of these advisors are published in the annual Study Guide and on the department's website.
